Members in Nairobi-Kenya East Stake share their impressions of General conference

A General Conference Reflection

“… General conference taught me that it is important for our family to go to the Temple and for the youth to prepare to serve a mission…” Sister Rose Bidikwanji says in Part. After viewing of General conference in April 2019, members in the Nairobi-Kenya East Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shared the impressions that they received. Brother Alvin Agwenge indicated that he always looks forward to general conference which enables him to meet other members, giving him a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood.

The Omondi family was grateful to have the opportunity to hear from the Prophet and pray that the counsel received will help them as a family to improve in their lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. They always look forward to general conference every six months to be able to hear from Church leaders.

“I had a lot of questions with things pertaining covenants. Today did remind me of what I need to do to make sure that I remain in the covenant path… As a son of our Father in Heaven, I need to do what I can to make sure that i study scriptures, feast upon them daily and abide by the message” Brother Charles Mambo.

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worldwide gather in Salt Lake City twice a year for general conference. Six sessions are held every spring and fall for members to receive instruction from Church leaders. The sessions are also broadcast throughout the world in multiple languages. When not meeting for conference, Church members attend weekly worship services on Sunday in their local congregations.
