“If our lives and our faith are centered on Jesus Christ...nothing will ever go permanently wrong.” Elder Howard W. Hunter quoted by Elder Palmer in Stake Conference

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the West Stake of Kenya gathered on the 2nd and 3rd of March to receive counsel from Area and Stake leaders. During the stake conference, Area President, S. Mark Palmer, admonished members in the gospel. He emphasized the new balanced curriculum with church supported and gospel centered families.

“We have a pattern to raise families, to live together and learn together,” said Elder Palmer, encouraging members to focus on teaching each other the gospel of Jesus Christ. He also emphasized the need for ministering in a higher and holier way as President Russell M. Nelson has counselled. Stake President George Munene of the Nairobi West Stake reminded members that the gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of hope, and that righteous living enables members of the Church of Jesus Christ to overcome the struggles of life. He urged members to minister to others in love and bring unto Christ those who may have fallen away.
