Valentine Fun-day

Young Single Adults (YSAs) from all wards in the West Stake and a few from the East Stake came together to participate in an afternoon of fun, socialising and learning.

On Saturday the 10th of February, young single adults of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held a Valentine Fun Day at the Mountain View Ward in Nairobi, Kenya. This activity brought young single adults (YSAs) from all wards in the West Stake and a few from the East Stake to participate in an afternoon of fun, socialising and learning.

The YSA group exhibited their skills as they played games such as basketball and soccer together. The ‘Speed Friend-shipping’ advent was the highlight of the occasion, as each person had an opportunity to get to know as much as they could about their fellow YSA in 90 seconds. At the end of the social, whether meeting people for the first time or not, everyone ended up acquainted with everyone.

Of course, Saturday activities are never complete without an Institute session. Brother Screven Usi led the way through an activity of finding golden nuggets in the Book of Mormon with their assigned groups. When each YSA group shared what they found, the rest of the YSAs learned as well.

At the end of the day, new friendships were made, and everyone left with a feeling and wishing that the day could be longer. This activity produced a desire for the next fun day.
