Church Welcomes Public to Langas LDS Meetinghouse

Kenyan Member of Parliament, Hon. Wesley Korir, led other leaders in welcoming the public to a newly constructed LDS meetinghouse in Eldoret.

He also won the Los Angeles Marathon in 2009 and has participated in many other marathons across the world. During this meeting, Hon. Korir, who is passionate about making clean water accessible to all people in rural Kenya, an initiative that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been involved in over the years, hailed the contribution of the Church in this area.

Leaders from Moi Referral Hospital, Kenya Red Cross, Kenya Power, Equity Bank and dozens of other organizations attended the breakfast as well as leaders from other faiths and the community. They were later led to tour the newly constructed Langas LDS Meetinghouse.

The following day, about a hundred members from the community also toured the building.
