Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are known for their healthy lifestyles. Every year, members of the Church in Nairobi, Kenya, organize a sports day for the eleven congregations of the Church in Nairobi and the surrounding areas. The event usually takes place at the Stake Centre located in the eastern part of the city in Buru Buru.

During the day, all congregations take part in indoor and outdoor sports with the winner being awarded a trophy. Kenya Nairobi Stake has eleven congregations of around 3000 members.
This year the sports event took place on April 28th. The competitions were in football, basketball, chess, scrabble, volleyball, tug-of-war, ludo, and others. These events while competitive encourage socialization among the teams and provide an opportunity to make friends and meet other Church members from other congregations. This year Lucky Summer and Zimmerman Wards (congregations) were crowned the overall combined winners for leading in the most categories, especially the much fancied football category.
