The Special Broadcast protion then followed and included Elders Neil L. Andersen, member of the quorum of the twelve apostles, Tad R. Callister, Carl B. Cook, Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson, Kevin S. Hamilton, President of Southeast Area of Africa, and the East Nairobi Stake President George, Munene.

Messages were for Africans “at this time and this place”. Speakers encouraged the congregation to “never give up on the Lord,” and reminded attendees “all that matters in life is the family.” Apostle Anderson concluded with an admonishment to “walk in ways to serve each other” and “God’s plan is unfolding in a very special way here in Africa.”
